I’m Charlsie (pronounced Char-ul-see). I grew up in southern California and I’m a proud product of public schools. I received my B.A. in Political Science at UC Santa Cruz and my Master’s of Public Administration from Tsinghua University in Beijing. After grad school, I moved to Sunnyvale and found an incredible community here.

My interest in politics developed in college, when I was elected to be Commissioner of Diversity and hosted our first ever Holi Festival. Since then, I’ve worked at almost all the different levels of government including in the State Legislature, at the County Board of Supervisors, at Peninsula Clean Energy, and now in public transportation. Now, I want to bring that experience to the city.

I currently serve as a Sunnyvale Board of Library Trustee and a member of CERT.
